About Thurrock Caravans
When leaving school in 1985, I went to work for a major caravan dealer known as Upminster Caravans Rainham, Essex. They were Abi dealers along with many others. I worked there until the company closed down in late 1998. Thurrock Caravans was started in September 1996, from a small yard in Tilbury and as the business built up we started undertaking work for Five Bells Caravan Centre in Basildon. We have the contract to PDI/Service and repair all caravans sold by them. They are the main agents for Bucceneer, Compass and Lunar Caravans. We offer workshop facilities and our famous Mobile Repair Unit for annual servicing and general repairs. The firm is now a Father and Son run business.

East Coast Leisure was formed in December 1998 by Nigel & Lynne Usher to give caravan & motorhome owners a genuinely friendly and personal service. Prior to 98, for 15 years we had been carrying out accident damage repairs to motor vehicles in our own body shop. Over time we found ourselves being asked more and more to carry out work on caravans and motorhomes. Being caravanners ourselves we identified that there were limited options for leisure vehicle owners in our area and decided to apply our expertise to that field.
