From kerb scuffs to corroded alloys we have the experience to get your wheels back to an as new look. All wheels are machined or sand blasted and then primed, colour matched and lacquered then oven baked to give a durable finish. Minor repairs can be done same day although most jobs require 2-3 days. Specialist finishes such as diamond turning or split rims can take up to a week. We can also supply tyres at a competitive price and have full fitting and balancing facilities to complete the job. If customers are unable to remove their own wheels then they can bring the car and leave it until the work is complete. We also run a collection service to our trade customers in the Colchester area.

About Chaseside Bodyworks
All wheels are chemically stripped to remove any previous coatings and are then shot-blasted by hand to obtain a bare metal surface in preparation for coating. The wheels are then slightly dressed and filled to deal with any kerb damage to the rim edges. (We do not deal with repairs to buckled or badly dented wheels as these are safety related structural repairs and wheels should be written off and replaced). Chaseside Bodyworks do not recommend the use of jet washes using acidic cleaning solutions or any proprietary alloy wheel cleaners as these are specifically designed for polished and unlacquered wheels and contain acid based cleaners that will attack and in time break down lacquer coatings. A mild detergent such as Fairy liquid and hot water used once a week will suffice
